Seb Twaddell New Ball Speed World Record

Seb Twaddell Smashes Ball Speed World Record with Revolutionary Training Approach

In January 2025, Seb Twaddell made history, once again, by shattering the Ball Speed World Record with a remarkable 246.8 mph. But this achievement didn't come overnight—this record-breaking moment was seven months in the making, fueled by an intense training regimen and a commitment to excellence that has become synonymous with Seb's journey.

After being unable to compete in the US for reasons outside of his control, Seb and his team—including swing coach Craig Parker, mental coach Bradley Charles Stubbs, club builder Chris (@apexgolfhawaaii), remedial massage therapist Liz Torr, and the Fast AF Training team—got to work. Together, they embarked on a mission to not only create a swing that would be the fastest in the world but also one that could hold its ground under tournament conditions and on the grid. Their objective? To ensure Seb’s return to the 2025 World Long Drive season in peak form.

A Swing Rebuild Like No Other

The journey began with a complete rebuild of Seb's swing, under the watchful eye of Craig Parker. Seb made the hour-long drive from the Gold Coast to Brisbane 3-4 times per week for dedicated Long Drive sessions. Known for his unique "Double Pump" swing, Seb initially developed this technique in 2023 as a drill to maintain arm width. What started as a drill quickly revealed its potential—Seb’s swing was not only fast but explosively effective. After just four sessions, he had secured the double world record in club speed (169.6 mph) and ball speed (240.8 mph), proving the Double Pump’s power.

Throughout the 2023 World Long Drive season, Seb used the Double Pump technique and achieved consistent success with a win, second place, third place, and multiple Top 5 and Top 9 finishes. But Seb wasn’t satisfied; he wanted more.

The Fast AF Protocol: Phase 1 and Phase 2

Enter the Fast AF Training team. Seb joined the program, beginning with the 12-Week Fast AF Protocol, which is designed to maximize strength, speed, and performance in golfers and athletes.

The protocol is divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1 (Weeks 1-6: Strong AF Phase) focused on building the strength and hypertrophy necessary to support world-record speeds. This phase consisted of 4 gym sessions per week and included heavy compound movements. The goal was to build a body capable of producing the power required to break through speed limits. By the end of Phase 1, Seb had made significant strides, increasing his strength with personal bests of a 245kg/540Ibs squat, 300kg/661Ibs deadlift, 160kg/352Ibs bench press, and 110kg/242Ibs military press.
  • Phase 2 (Weeks 7-12: Fast AF Phase) took the foundation built in Phase 1 and focused on turning that strength into speed. The approach combined lower-volume strength training with more explosive, plyometric movements to unlock Seb’s full speed potential. This phase not only optimized Seb’s physical condition but also ensured he was primed for his Long Drive sessions, showing up fresh and ready to go Fast AF.

The Breakthrough Moment

By December 31, 2024, Seb hit a new personal best with a 242.6 mph ball speed, signaling that the Fast AF Protocol was paying off. But the real magic happened just days later, on January 3, 2025, when Seb pushed the boundaries yet again, smashing the Ball Speed World Record with a 246.8 mph ball speed - previously beating Kyle Berkshire's Ball Speed of 241.6mph.

The remarkable part of this achievement? Seb’s club speed was just under 165 mph, leaving enormous room for even more speed in the future. The Fast AF Protocol has laid the groundwork for Seb to continue shattering both the Club and Ball Speed World Records, and his team is confident that Seb is far from reaching his limit.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Seb’s return to the US for the World Long Drive Tour in Las Vegas in March 2025 is poised to be an electrifying moment in Long Drive history. With his newly built, lethal body and speed, Seb is ready to make a statement on the global stage. Furthermore, he has been named Co-Captain of the International team for the Teams World Championship in Austria in July 2025, alongside his training partner and fellow Australian Long Drive Professional, Matt Stubbs.

The Fast AF Edge

Seb’s story is a testament to the power of smart, structured training that goes beyond just speed and power. The Fast AF Protocol isn’t just about breaking records—it's about creating an athlete who can sustain and consistently improve their performance, no matter the conditions. It's a holistic approach to developing strength, speed, and recovery, designed for athletes who are ready to push the limits of what’s possible.

The program has been proven to deliver results, helping athletes achieve their own breakthrough moments, whether it’s gaining club speed, increasing ball speed, or building a body capable of dominating any event. Seb’s success is a clear indicator that the Fast AF Training system works—whether you’re aiming for a world record or simply looking to elevate your game.

If you're ready to train smarter, move faster, and achieve real results, the Fast AF Protocol is the game-changer you’ve been looking for.
